Pean-buiten maintains an overview and works more efficiently with MICE

Pean-buiten is a holiday park in the water-rich region of Friesland with nature houses, water lodges, and a sailing school. They also offer the possibility to organize meetings, team building activities, and various types of events.

Due to the versatility of the terrain, they had a gap in the organization for efficiently planning all events, says Esther, park and event manager at Pean-buiten. "We noticed that we couldn't really get by with our existing systems. For the rental of our holiday homes to individuals, we used a booking system. We also rent out boats which were managed through another reservation system. Group accommodations could be booked through both systems. When we had an event, which often also involved renting out boats and houses, we had to cut and paste everything across all separate systems. We had to put together a schedule in Word to compile and share all the information. It was a time-consuming and often error-prone task." 

Through their own network, Pean-buiten came across MICE Operations at the end of 2023. Esther says: "We now organize all (multi-day) events through MICE, such as weddings, meetings, school camps, and team building days. We now have one system that is visually very well designed, which comes across very professionally to the customer."

Everything easily transferable

Currently, Esther is solely responsible for the use of MICE and is working on an optimization process. "There are so many possibilities and we want to set the system up as optimally as possible for our organization. The goal is that, soon, other colleagues can easily take over the events in the future."

Esther continues: "Guests can request a proposal directly through the online RFP tool on our website. We have everything set up well, so a beautiful proposal and schedule can be quickly created afterwards. Furthermore, all communication can be found in MICE, making everything easily transferable."
